More than 79 million people in India suffer from diabetes. Around 11.2% of the second most populated county in the world suffers from the chronic disease. Why are people in India more prone to catching diabetes than people in other countries? Stronger insulin resistance, lack of education and more means that within the next 3 years, 300 million adults in unindustrialized countries will have diabetes, a third of them being from India and china alone. Why is this?
