Rampant inequality permeates the healthcare system, and a lack of access to proper care is perhaps the greatest obstacle for underprivileged youth. After conversations with some of India’s leading physicians, we decided to hone on one of the greatest problem faced by Indian youth: malnutrition. By raising awareness and conducting in-depth analyses of the distribution of food by relief organizations, we are working to transform hospitals into a bastion of nutrition information and solutions for underprivileged families.
More than 40% children are malnourished or stunted. Healthcare provision is poor, and many families, especially in rural areas, have major difficulties in accessing healthcare. (NIH)
